![]() Anna, 42 - “very inspiring and encouraging” “The eatfit programme really worked for me. The 'one on one' consultations and the accountability which came with this were very inspiring and encouraging. For many years now I have struggled with inconsistent eating habits, comfort eating and making 'not so good' choices. I gained a large amount of weight and became very unfit. I felt really bad and embarrassed but I seemed powerless to do anything about it - it was just too hard. I was frustrated that I couldn't do the things I did so easily before like going for a run or playing basketball with the children. I also felt I was a bad role model for my children in terms of my eating habits and nutrition. I was not sure that eatfit would be different to any other 'diet' programmes but I was pleasantly surprised. The advice I was given on nutrition wasn't restrictive, in fact no food was 'off limits' but I just had to make good choices about how much I ate. I began to eat regularly and chose foods that were good nutritionally. The support, encouragement and advice were very helpful. Significantly for me I was able to identify specifically what I was trying to achieve - it is not just the number but what I can do and how I feel at that weight that is my focus. This was challenging but positive. I now know exactly what I am working towards. After 12 weeks I am now very close to achieving my goal weight and I am rapt about my increased fitness level. I am really enjoying running which I haven't done for many years and being fitter has certainly flowed through into my tennis. I have a goal to do a 10km fun run early next year. I now happily give the kids running races and could confidently play a game of soccer with them. I also feel good because the eating behaviour I now model is much more positive. In myself I am really pleased with what I have achieved and feel more confident. I would certainly recommend the eatfit programme.” << Back |
