![]() Sharon, - “eatfit taught me how to look for the 'good' food in everything” “16 weeks - WOW… who would have thought you can change your life in this time? I was a different person?a bigger, less confident, less controlled person… now it is all so different. I have had the chance to live the eatfit approach to healthy weight for life. At over 86 kg after 3 years slogging my way through an Aitkin's style diet I was tired, stressed and frustrated. I was walking for an hour every day but I could not shift those last 15 kg. I left the army 15 years ago and swore I would NEVER run another step. Now I get up at 5.30am and run for 40 minutes 4 times a week, then on the weekend I run for at least an hour each day. I'm always looking for excuses to walk, or run somewhere, and I look for activities that I can do that will involve exercise. Why? Because against all the odds I can now do it! I am fitter and healthier than I have ever been. I now 'think and plan like an athlete' in all that I do - not just exercise, but food, and my approach to life - even the management of stress. I travel HEAPS for work and was struggling to control my weight in the face of all the buffets and airline food that I was consuming. eatfit taught me how to look for the 'good' food in everything I choose, how to focus on eating the right things, at the right time, and how to cut back on the bad thing… yes, that's right… cut back - NOT eliminate! Life goes on, and we all need to have the good with the bad every now and then. Now I know it is about balance, planning and being in control.
